Total Buyer Closing Costs: Typically 1.5% - 4% of the purchase price.
For the Seller
- Real Estate Commission: 3%-5% of sale price (plus HST).
- Legal Fees: To discharge mortgage and register transfer ($1,000-$2,000 typically).

Total Seller Closing Costs: Typically 8%-10% of sale price including commissions.

- City of Kingston charges a $37 administration fee when property ownership changes.
